TRIGON × Slope Coffee|A Ride, Side by Side

On March 28, TRIGON hosted a group ride in northern Taiwan, led by our partnered rider You-Cheng Chang, a member of Team CYTO TRIGON. Together with the team and fellow riders, we shared a ride that belonged to everyone on the road.

From mountain climbs to open flats, this was more than just a ride—it was a rare chance to experience the rhythm of a professional rider up close.

On the Road|Experiencing a Professional Rhythm

Led by You-Cheng Chang in national team form, the ride carried a different kind of pace.

Within the moving formation, riders could closely observe the cadence, cornering choices, and real-time decisions that define a professional cyclist.
It was a kind of understanding that required no words.

Among Team CYTO TRIGON riders, a natural formation and flow emerged—bringing a sense of stability and forward momentum that goes beyond everyday riding.

This wasn’t just about speed.
It was about a way of riding shaped by years of training and racing.

From the Race|A Defining Moment at Tour de Taiwan

After the ride, everyone returned to Slope Coffee for a sharing session.

Ivan spoke about his first selection to the Chinese Taipei national team and his experience racing at the 2026 Tour de Taiwan.
The most unforgettable moment came in the final 2 kilometers of the Taipei stage.

In the fast-moving peloton, a sudden large crash disrupted everything.
Originally assigned as a lead-out rider, he realized in an instant that his teammate was no longer there.

“At that moment, I knew I had to go on my own.”

In the chaos, he chose to move forward instead of waiting.
Relying on instinct and condition, he pushed through to the finish—placing 18th in the stage, the best result for the national team that day.

It wasn’t just a reaction to an unexpected situation.
It was a decision made under pressure.

From Support to Responsibility|A Shift in Role

Ivan shared that when he first joined the national team, his role was to support senior riders.

But racing has no fixed script.

When the situation changed, he had to switch roles instantly—from a supporter to the one responsible for the outcome.

This shift is not only about ability,
but also about readiness.

A question every rider eventually faces:
when the moment comes, are you ready?

Beyond Riding|The Value of Shared Experience

This session wasn’t about numbers or distances.

It was about how to manage effort, how to distribute energy, when to follow, and when to let go.
The unseen details that truly shape a race.

For those present, this wasn’t just an event.
It was a piece of the race brought back into everyday riding.

And with it, a deeper understanding of what riding means.

Ride Side by Side with TRIGON

Through rides and conversations like this,
TRIGON hopes riding becomes more than an individual journey.

On the same road, riders at different stages can see and understand each other.

From competition to everyday riding, from athletes to enthusiasts—
every pedal stroke is a choice.

And we will continue to be on the road,
riding side by side with you.
